Install Procedure :
- Create a new folder with a name of your choice on your computer’s hard drive.
- When you run NcRawCodec100v.exe after downloading and saving it to the folder that you created in step 1, several files will be created within that folder.
- Using Windows Explorer, browse to the folder and run Welcome.exe to start the installer.
- Next, follow the instructions that will appear on the screen to install the software.
Confirming Operation :
- Select Start / All Programs / Windows Photo Gallery to start the Windows Photo Gallery.
- Select the Add Folders to Gallery command from the File menu and add a folder containing NEF images. A list of thumbnails will be displayed.
- From the displayed thumbnail list, select and double-click a NEF image and confirm that the full-sized image is displayed.
Uninstall Procedure :
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Select Add/Remove Programs.
- Choose Nikon RAW Codec from the list of the installed programs and execute to run the uninstaller.
- Next, follow the instructions that will appear on the screen to uninstall the software.
Changes in Nikon RAW Codec 1.0.2 :
- An issue that caused the Explorer to crash when metadata for NEF files recorded by the D1, D1H, D1X, or D100 is modified in the Explorer has been resolved.
- An issue that caused Windows Photo Gallery to crash when browsing NEF files with Photo Gallery if the next button is clicked to view a different NEF file while the previous NEF file selected is still loading has been resolved. (This issue only occurs when Microsoft Application Verifier (AppVerifier) is running at the same time as Photo Gallery.)
