 Autoplay Repair 2.2.0
Updated: 9 May 2007 | | 198KB | Downloads: 2771

Autoplay Repair has been written to remove corrupted entries from Windows XP's autoplay.

The background is that after an uninstallation of several applications like media players, some invalid entries still may remain in Windows XP's autoplay sections. These are visible every time a CD or DVD is put into the drive and the autoplay selection dialog appears.

Now with Autoplay Repair it is possible to remove these invalid entries and even create new or modify existing so called autoplay handlers quickly and easily. But this tool can also be used to remove unwanted entries or just to tidy up Windows XP's autoplay sections for a better overview.

In addition to that Autoplay Repair has some other necessary features to offer.

Features of Autoplay Repair 2.2.0 :

- Create, modify or delete (corrupted) Autoplay Handler entries from the Windows Registry quickly
- Have control of the main autorun sections in the Registry: add, edit or delete single entries
- Disable or enable Autoplay for each installed drive on your computer
- Create backups of Autoplay and Autorun sections to restore deleted or edited Registry entries if needed

Changes in Autoplay Repair 2.2.0 :

- Multi Language support giving the user the ability to create his own language files
- Completely rewritten Autorun Cleanup section, now it is possible to deactivate/activate single autorun entries
- Backup section: Deleted backup files (*.reg) will be moved into Window's recycle bin
- Some minor changes

- Windows XP AVI Fix: was created to help alleviate the problem a lot of XP users have: selecting an .avi file in Explorer causes Explorer to lock that file while it attempts to extract video and audio summary information from it.
- AVIFixed: can fix play time errors and help you to be able to watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies.
